Double Barrel Gundog Leads (DBGL) came about because of a problem I experienced in my own journey owning and training gundogs; I could never find a slip lead that was the right length, thickness, quality and colour I wanted: the problem.

On my hunt for a slip lead that ticked all the boxes, I decided to buy a length of rope and a few bits and bobs to make my own. What resulted was a product that far exceeded anything that was readily available elsewhere: the idea.

Double Barrel Gundog Leads was born - rigorously tested handcrafted slip leads, made using only the highest quality materials; available to any and all dog handlers who want a product they can rely on: the brand.

Behind the Barrels

Double Barrel Gundog Leads is the brain child of Dan, who is responsible for the design and manufacture of the entire range of leads. Growing up, Dan was exposed to all manners of country capers; shooting, fishing, horse riding, hiking - you name it. Now his time is split between working in the big smoke and enjoying the Great British outdoors however, and whenever, he can. DBGL is a passion project for Dan, and providing handmade leads for people to enjoy for years to come is what he is working towards.
